Pro-Telangana activist commits suicide at TRS meeting

A pro-Telangana agitator today ended his life by consuming insecticide at a Telangana Rashtra Samiti meeting in Manthani town of Karimnagar district, police said.

While TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was addressing the meeting, Gunda Nagaraju of Surayyapalli village of Manthani mandal tried to board the dais, but party men stopped him.

Nagaraju immediately went behind the dais and consumed insecticide, while raising the slogan of 'Jai Telangana'.
