Jayalalitha to meet Montek to seek more funds for TN

A correspondent from Delhi reports: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha will visit Delhi next Monday to discuss the annual plan of the state with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.

She has demanded a multi-fold increase in the Centre's allocation of funds for Tamil Nadu.

The TN CM's visit to Delhi will be a quiet affair. She will land in Delhi around noon, attend the Planning Commission meeting at 3 pm and leave for Chennai at 5.45 pm.
