Everest climber to get double promotion

Wansuk Myrthong, woman constable from Meghalaya, would get double promotion for becoming the first tribal Khasi woman from North-East to scale Mt Everest. "The woman constable was a member of the first North-East India Everest Expedition team, which scaled the peak recently. We propose to reward her appropriately for this feat," Chief Minister Mukul Sangma told PTI.
