June 06, 2013  03:16
Politico reports that 'Newsweek/Daily Beast CEO Baba Shetty is stepping down after just nine months on the job.' A staff memo from Editor-in-Chief Tina Brown confirmed Shetty's exit. Shetty 'has presided over a terrific nine months of product development and digital growth...We wish Baba great success in his future ventures,' Brown wrote to her staff. Newsweek still has one Indian in its higher echleons: Patanjali 'Tunku' Varadarajan, whose younger brother Siddharth edits The Hindu.
