Shinde at CMs meet: Naxal violence will be dealt with firmly

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde speaks at the chief minister's meet in New Delhi. "The Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh was an attack on democracy. Naxal violence will be dealt with firmly," he said.

"The Chhattisgarh violence case has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency with the consultation of the state," he added.

Shinde also said that the internal security situation was largely under control.

The HM said that a large amount of RDX has been recovered from Punjab and Rajasthan. "Sikh youth are being trained by Pakistan for terror. But there has been a fall in terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir."
