PM at security meet: Naxal violence has NO place in democracy

The PM said that the challenge of Naxalism has received serious attention. The action plan includes taking concrete steps to root out the menace, ensuring state governments work together with the centre for eliminating the Naxal threat, strengthening the security apparatus in 34 Naxal-hit areas, ensuring development and security for Naxal-hit areas and modernisation of state police.
The PM also touched upon women's security and said it remained a concern. He said several laws had been enacted to tackle such crimes.
