July marks a year of Pranab Mukherjee as president

Rashtrapati Bhavan is likely to celebrate Pranab Mukherjee's first anniversary as President on July 23. By July 2014, Mukherjee's role in installing a popular government with a predictable fractured mandate is going to be another challenge. Pranab will be sorely missed in the Union Cabinet and the Congress Core Committee for his skills in firefighting with allies.

As president, he has brought about many changes in his interaction with the common man by opening up prestigious heritage building to public, revamping the library, and disposing off pending files.

He has also been meeting the media at regular intervals unlike the Prime Minister and UPA chairperson.
