No decision on promulgating an ordinance for food security has been brought up before the Cabinet today, Finance Minister Chidambaram said on Tuesday.

"We will go back to Cabinet and Parliament after receiving the outcome of conciliation in the Vodafone tax case," said Chidambaram.

He also seemed critical of the CIC order -- stating political parties fall under the purview of RTI -- saying " the order is not based on credible argument".
