UPA to discuss food security bill on Monday

The much awaited Food Security Bill is expected to be discussed during the UPA Coordination Committee meet on Monday.

The decision was taken on Saturday at the Congress Core Group meet at the prime minister's residence.

Meanwhile, the UPA government has the option to get the Food Security Bill passed either in a special session of Parliament or implemented through an ordinance or executive order.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were present during the meeting.
