Digvijaya: Stand by what I said, Batla encounter was fake

Congress spokesperson Digvijaya Singh says he stands by what he said on the Batla House encounter in 2008, that it was in fact, a fake encounter. He said he had demanded a judicial probe, but that was never done.

The BJP today welcoming a court's verdict which convicted the lone accused and Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Shahzad Ahmad in the 2008 Batla House shootout, said Digvijay should apologise for his statement.

The BJP has demanded an apology from Digvijay Singh for demoralising security forces and raising doubts on the martyrdom of Inspector MC Sharma.
