Food Security Bill a troublesome act: Ficci

Making clear its opposition to the Food Security Bill, industry body Ficci today called it a "troublesome act", saying that cash transfer will be the best way forward.

"Ficci does not support the Food Security Bill. In addition to the cost put forward by the government, the cost of administering it and the whole gamut of things that comes along will put a burden on the exchequer. It is a very troublesome act in terms of numbers," Ficci President Naina Lal Kidwai said.
