SC allows CBI to remove tainted SP from Coalgate probe team.

The Supreme Court has allowed the CBI to remove tainted SP Vivek Dutt from its Coal-gate probe team. The court today turned down the CBI's plea to shift DIG Ravi Kant, probing the coal block allocations between 2006 and 2009. The court said, "We may consider the CBI's plea for expanding the probe team as the scope of investigation has widened significantly."
