Live! Modi's day out in Delhi: Meetings with Advani, Pranab
July 04, 2013  16:39
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet President Pranab Mukherjee this evening to brief him on infrastructure and pending issues. Modi's  visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan is significant as he will be heading there directly from the BJP office after attending his first meeting as Chairman of the BJP Campaign Committee for 2014 Lok Sabha Polls. And this, as the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter chargesheet was filed yesterday.

Today's board meeting is the first since Modi's promotion and the internal crisis that it provoked. Chaired by party president Rajnath Singh, it is expected to discuss election strategy and there is speculation that he could lay out the blueprint for the party's 2014 general elections campaign.

Modi is also expected to invite Pranab to visit Gandhinagar on July 26, the date that marks Pranab's first year in office as President of India.
