How much cash did the NIA, I-Tax dept seize?

So, how much cash, gold and diamonds, did the Income Tax Department and National Investigation Agency personnel seize from four trucks in Mumbai yesterday.

Interestingly, while the Press Trust of India put the figure at Rs 2500 crore, the Times of India said the haul was worth Rs 200 crore. The Indian Express, says the figure is Rs 10 crore.

All reports, however, agree that the haul is being billed as the biggest operation of its kind.

The trucks were apprehended from outside Mumbai Central railway station, stumping the investigators who suspect a terror angle, a top IT official, requesting anonymity said on Tuesday. According to sources, each truck with around 15 people on board, was carrying around 35 bags, allegedly stuffed with cash and valuables.

So, what's the story behind the diminishing returns?
