Union Home Secy gets an earful for comment on Uttarakhand

Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami's first experience of deposing before the Public Accounts Committee turned out to be stormy. The chairman of the PAC, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, has taken the new Home Secretary to task for saying that there is no definition of national calamity in the 2005 Parliament act. The CPI, ADMK and SP MPs said that the earlier Home Secretary GK Pillai used to be in total command over his subject.
