2 security personnel injured in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir

PTI reports: Two security personnel have been injured in an encounter with militants in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir early today, police said.

The encounter took place at Tral during a counter-insurgency operation launched by security forces following information about the presence of militants in the area, they said.

A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force and a J&K policeman sustained injuries in the exchange of fire in which a militant is also believed to have been killed, police said.
