Why is armoury in Mumbai's CST covered by OSA, asks HC

When journalist, P K Trivedi  aka Akela wrote a report on June 28, 2010, exposing the poor storage of sophisticated weapons in an armoury at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus -- one of the targets of the 26/11 terror attacks -- he perhaps expected plaudits for his investigative reporting skills. What he got instead was an FIR against him for violating the Official Secrets act.

He filed a case in the Bombay high court for quashing the case, and a division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice AP Bhangale on Wednesday asked the state government for its exact stand on the application of the OSA, and on what basis the said armoury was a prohibited place.

Clearly, the last word on the subject is a long way from being written...
