TN pushes water ministry over Cauvery row

A correspondent from Delhi reports: Congress's Cuddalore MP KS Azhagiri met Union Water Resources Minister Harish Rawat today to press for the early notification of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's final award.

The water resources ministry is awaiting a response from the law ministry. Rawat rold Azhagiri that his department would act after it gets the requisite response from the law ministry.

Since the next hearing of the Cauvery case in Supreme Court is on February 4, a quick response from the central government is expected.
