Retired cop shot dead in Rohtak

A retired inspector of the Haryana police was gunned down by three unidentified assailants at Shastri Nagar locality near Hisar road today. The deceased has been identified as Ram Kishan Dahiya, who had retired from service last month, and the killers managed to flee from the spot.

The incident took place when Ram Kishan had gone to his under-construction house at Shastri Nagar locality.

According to the complaint lodged by his son, three youths got down from a car and opened fire on Dahiya from a close range. He died on the spot, said the police. The police sent the body to PGIMS for postmortem.
