Bharti Airtel to get new MD, jt MD

India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel is appointing Manoj Kohli as its new managing director, MediaNama has reported quoting a BSE filing.

'The filing indicates that this appointment will be considered at Bharti Airtel's Board of Directors meeting scheduled for February 1,' it reports, and says Kohli currently heads Airtel's International operations as its CEO and serves as the Joint Managing Director of Bharti Airtel.

'According to the filing, the Airtel Board will also be considering the appointment of Gopal Vittal as its Joint Managing Director and Additional Director while Sunil Bharti Mittal will taking over the role of Executive Chairman from his current role as Chairman & Managing Director of Bharti Airtel,' MediaNama further reports, here.
