Political parties seek action against Ashis Nandy

An all-party delegation today submitted a memorandum to the police seeking registration of complaint under the Prevention of Atrocities Act against Ashis Nandy for his controversial comments that people from OBC, SC and ST communities were the "most corrupt", made at the Jaipur Literary Festival.       

"The delegation, comprising leaders from MNS, Shiv Sena, BJP, RPI and Dalit organisations, under the banner of Bahujan Samaj Sangharsh Samiti, handed over the memorandum to ACP Ganesh Shinde at Sarkarwada police station seeking registration of the complaint against Nandy under Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act," said Nashik district RPI president Prakash Londhe.
