No decision on Telangana yet; TRS leader arrested

Telangana continued to simmer on Sunday as the Congress-ruled UPA government at the Centre failed to reach a decision on the creation of a separate state.
On December 28 last year, the Union Cabinet had announced that it will take a final decision -- on whether to carve Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh -- within a month.
The Congress Core Committee meeting held on Saturday night failed to reach a decision on the issue.
Members of the Telangana Joint Action Committee have gone on a 36-hour hunger strike.
Telangana Rashtra Samiti leader K T Rama Rao has courted arrested.
