Mobiles suspended in 60 Pak cities to ward off terror attack

Pakistani authorities today suspended mobile phone services in nearly 60 towns and cities across the country as part of security measures aimed at preventing terror attacks during Eid-e-Miladun Nabi. 

Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Karachi, Hyderabad, Peshawar and Quetta were among the 59 towns and cities where the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority suspended mobile phone services during the day. 

The suspension did not affect Islamabad, official said.
