Karnataka govt in majority, CM tells governor

Karnataka CM Jagadish Shettar has meet Governor H R Bharadwaj and told him that his government has majority. Earlier in the day, the governor informed the media that he has directed his office to check with the officials in the state assembly about the position and then tell Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to prove his majority.

The action comes following the decision of 14 rebels, loyalists of former CM Yeddyurappa, who have decided to resign as MLAs from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government.
