Rahul calls meeting of Cong functionaries

Onkar Singh reports from New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, who was appointed vice-president of the Congress party at the chintan baithak in Jaipur last week, has called a meeting of important functionaries at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

Rahul will lead the party campaign for the 2014 general elections. Wednesday's meeting is seen as his first step towards that direction, a senior Congress leader told Rediff.com.
