Classical vocalist does 36-hour long singing marathon

A musical marathon was performed by noted classical singer Pandit Ramesh Narayan who gave a 36-hour-long concert in the premises of Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. 

Narayan, a disciple of eminent vocalist Pandit Jasraj, started his recital in the early hours of January 19 and continued for next 36 hours rendering all types of ragas of Hindustani classical music, FTII spokesman KG Soman, who coordinated the programme, said. 

Narayan bettered his own record of continuous 30 hours recital which he performed in Thiruvananthapuram in 1994, he added.
