Chautala supporters clash with police outside court

Supporters of former Haryana chief minister and Indian National Lok Dal Om Prakash Chautala have clashed with police outside a Delhi court. Police had to resort to lathicharge to tackle the situation. Tear gas shells were also hurled.

A Delhi court will will pronounce the quantum of sentence against Chautala and his MLA son Ajay in the illegal teacher recruitment scam case. The Chautalas were taken into custody on January 16 after they were found guilty of illegally recruiting more than 3,000 Junior Basic Trained teachers in 1999-2000.
