Our sources in Delhi tell us that foreign investments in India have slowed down seemingly after the gang-rape incident and the carpet-bombing reportage in Indian and foreign media.

If reports from various Indian missions are to be believed, the UPA2 has to focus much more on the negative publicity the government has received and resolve it. Diplomatic circles have also begun to comment that UPA2 has failed in many areas of international relations.

Another question being asked to Indian diplomatsis whether Narendra Modi will in fact, be the BJP's Prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 polls.
