Govt decision on Telangana likely this week

The Union government is expected to announce its decision on the Telangana statehood issue on January 24 or 27, as Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde is travelling to Bangladesh from 27th to 29th.

The UPA Coordination Commitee is meeting on Wednesday and on the 25th the Congress Core Committee will meet to discuss the Telangana issue.

Andhra leaders have got the PM's appointment at 11 am on Tuesday. However, the condition before them for appointment is that the delegation should not exceed five.
