Palani temple nets Rs 4 cr revenue during Pongal

The revenue netted by the famous Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy temple here touched a record level of Rs 4 crore during Pongal season.

According to the Executive officer of the temple Baskaran, revenue by sale of 'Panchamritham', archana and Darshan tickets touched Rs.Two crore while the hundi collections touched Rs 2 crore.

Besides gold and silver items, currencies of various countries were also found in the hundial.
