Staff refuse to donate day's pay for slain cop Tomar

Delhi Police personnel have written a letter, reportedly sent on Saturday, to the police commissioner refusing to donate their one-day salary to the family of slain constable Subhash Tomar.

Following his death during the anti-rape stir in December, Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar had announced that all Delhi Police personnel would contribute their salary of one day to provide financial aid to Tomar's family.Kumar, however, said he has not received any letter and has clarified that the donation was only meant for IPS officers. "I never asked all the policemen to donate their salary," Kumar said.
