Pak Hockey Federation: Players still safe in India

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has said that eight Pakistan players taking part in the Indian Hockey League in India were safe and there was no security concern regarding their participation in the event.

Around 100 workers of the hardline right-wing Shiv Sena party protested at a stadium where the Mumbai Magicians team, who have four Pakistan players in their squad, were practicing, reports the Daily Times.

A PHF spokesperson said Narinder Batra, Secretary General of Hockey India, has assured Pakistan that top security is being provided to the Pakistan players and there will be no issue of safety and security of the Pakistan players.
