January 14, 2013  12:00
Gen Bikram Singh says Pakistan's action was gruesome and unpardonable, but India will uphold the ceasefire treaty till such time Pakistan does. He said India expects all its commanders on the LoC to be aggressive.

Calling the statements by the Pakistani government and army as lies, the army chief said the Indian army did not conduct any operation on January 6 as claimed by Pakistan.

The attack on the two Indian jawans was pre-planned and pre-meditated and India reserves the right to retailate when it is provoked at a time of its choosing. The killing was against the rules of engagement, said General Bikram Singh.
