Court rejects bail applications of TDP MLAs

Karimnagar Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate dismissed bail applications two Telugu Desam Party legislators and three others, on Thursday.

The TDP MLAs Vijaya Ramana Rao, who is also TDP district president, Suddala Devaiah TDP MLA from Choppadandi and three more TDP leaders namely, Karra Vijender Reddy, Gopu Ailaiah and Nimmakayala Edukondalu were arrested and sent to judicial remand.

The arrested TDP leaders filed bail applications before Magistrate C Rajender Reddy and the advocates appearing for the TDP leaders pleaded for bail.

However, as charges against the TDP leaders included Section 3 of the Prevention of Public Properties Act (PDPP Act), which is non-bailable, their bail applications were dismissed.
