Shyam Saran may be new National Security Advisory Board head

Shyam Saran, Indias former foreign secretary, is likely to succeed Naresh Chandra as chairman of National Security Advisory Board.

Retired bureaucrat-turned-diplomat Chandra's term is ending this week. 

On Wednesday, the current boards last meeting is being held in New Delhi.  

In the evening, the board that constitutes of experts from various fields will be hosted by National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon.
