3 children killed in blast in Assam

Three children killed in an explosion near Digboi, Assam.

The bomb was placed under a concrete pipe in a village road. The blast took place at 4.15 pm.

According to eyewitnesses, a group of children were playing near the pipe when one of them picked up an object that looked like a grenade. As soon as a girl in the group picked up the grenade-like object, it went off killing three children and injuring others, according to news channels.

Till now no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
