Cops warn against gang-rape reports without court nod

The Delhi police said it will not be lawful for any person to print or publish any matter relating to the case of gang-rape of the 23-year-old girl without prior permission of the court.    

"The court of the Metropolitan Magistrate has taken cognizance of the chargesheet in FIR No. 413/12 today.....     "Since the cognizance has also been taken under Sections302 (murder) and 376(2)(G) (gang-rape), the provisions of Section 327 (2)(3) CrPC become applicable to the case. Section 327(3) provides "that it shall not be lawful for any person to print or public any matter in relation to such proceedings except with the previous permission of the court," a Delhi police statement said.
