Will HC quash FIR in constable Tomar's death?

Just in: The Delhi High Court has admitted a plea seeking the quashing of a probe into the death of constable Subhash Tomar during the anti-rape protests in Delhi last week. The plea says two of the eight accused were at a metro station when the incident occured.

A plea has also been filed in the Delhi High Court for a CBI probe into the death of Tomar owing to injuries allegedly sustained by him during the anti-rape stir here. The petition sought a probe alleging contradictions in the statements of various officials including Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar, eye witnesses and the medical expert on the reasons of Tomar's death.
