Stalin will look after party after my death: Karuna

It may be recalled that there has been a long-drawn succession war between M Karunanidhi's two sons MK Alagiri and MK Stalin. In February last year, Karunanidhi wanted his party men to choose their new chief on their own.

The fact that Karunanidhi is set to retire from the helm of affairs of the DMK has caused tension among Alagiri and Stalin supporters. With Stalin supporters harping that he be made the next party chief, Alagiri's supporters wants the very same for their leader.

Finally, Karunanidhi has come out in the open to state that Stalin will head the party after his death.
