Delhi police chief summoned

Parliament's Standing Committee on Home today summoned senior Delhi Police officers, including Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar and Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Dharmendra Kumar to appear before it.The senior police officers are likely to be questioned about the December 16 gang rape case and also will be asked what progress they have made to make the city of Delhi safer for women.The committee is scheduled to meet on January 4, where Kumar is expected provide a written response to questions which could not be answered at a December 27 meeting of the panel.
