Varun Gandhi acquitted in hate speech case

BJP leader Varun Gandhi has been acquitted in the hate speech case by a court in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.

Gandhi had been accused of making a hate speech while campaigning for the 2009 Lok Sabha election.

Gandhi had won the Parliamentary election from Pilibhit, which was earlier the constituency of his mother Maneka Gandhi.

Varun even had to spend a few days in jail for allegedly making the hate speech.
