Asserting that there is a need to rectify all the mistakes, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday said the government is making all efforts to ensure that nobody in the national capital feels unsafe.

"The government can help, can alert the people and will take action wherever required. The police also now have to be more alert. Around 20 to 22 lakh people move in metro (Delhi Metro), about 50 lakh people travel daily in buses. So, it comes to a total of around 70-72 lakhs. To monitor it and to change the culture will take time," Dikshit told media here.

"But we are making all efforts to ensure that an environment is created in Delhi where nobody feels unsafe," she added, when asked to comment on last evening''s incident where a young woman was shot dead in full public view in Sarai Kale Khan area of South Delhi.
