Mehra panel report on Delhi rape: Friend's version differed

Just in: The Justice Usha Mehra committee report on the Delhi gang-rape case is out. Early reports say the following:

1. There was no delay in police response
2. Version told by friend of the victim to the police different from what he told media
3. PCR vans completely missed stopping the bus where the girl was raped.

The government had formed a committee of enquiry under Justice Usha Mehra to reconstruct the events leading to the 16 December Delhi gang rape, identify lapses by police and other agencies and fix responsibility for the crime.
