Hyderabad blasts probe: Investigators probing three specific names in the blasts -- one each from UP, Bihar, Jharkhand. The Hyderabad police says during a raid at a lodge on January 18, a suspect escaped just before the raid. The NIA says that two operatives Tabrez and Waqas who were part of the 13/7 blasts could be involved in this attack as well. Tabrez who goes by the alias Asadullah Akthar is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and is the son of a doctor from Azamgargh. He carries a reward of Rs 10 lakh on him.

Rediff.com's Vicky Nanjappa reports that Tabrez (26) along with Waqas (also 26)had planted the bomb at the Zaveri Bazar and Opera House during the 13/7 blasts. Both these men were acting on the instructions of Yasin Bhatkal who is also a suspect in the Hyderabad blasts.

The sketches of both Tabrez and Waqas were released after the 13/7 blasts. Tabrez is believed to have gone missing since 2008 and the police suspect that he had joined the Indian Mujahideen.

However, his father in Azamgarh, UP, denied these allegations and said that his son is Asadullah and not Tabrez as is being made out by the police.

Full report by Vicky Nanjappa on rediff.com shortly.

Tabrez and Waqas were last spotted in Byculla with Yasin Bhatkal but managed to give the slip following a goof-up by the Mumbai police.
