Ahead of shutdown, restrictions imposed in Srinagar

Authorities today imposed restrictions in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, apprehending law and order problems in view of the three-day strike called by the separatists in the Valley.        

"According to Srinagar District Magistrate Baseer Ahmad Khan, in view of law and order situation, restrictions under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed across entire Srinagar district with immediate effect," an official spokesman said.
