PM on chopper deal: Seek, we have nothing to hide

Just in: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's first comments on the chopper 'scam'. The PM said the government is "ready to discuss the all issues in Parliament. We have nothing to hide," he said.

Last week, the government scrapped the Rs 3,546-crore deal for 12 VVIP helicopters from Finmeccanica. The government set the "termination process" in motion on Friday by issuing a formal show-cause notice to AgustaWestland to explain within a week why the contract should not be cancelled and penal action initiated against it.
