Namdhari killed Ponty Chadha's brother: Sources

In the 1800-page chargesheet filed in the Ponty Chadha shootout, police have accused former Uttarakhand minorities commission chairman Sukhdev Singh Namdhari of murder, abduction, wrongful confinement among other charges.

Sources tell NDTV that after Hardeep shot his elder brother Ponty, Namdhari and his security officer Sanjeev Tyagi opened fire at him, killing him on the spot.

The sources add that the Delhi police in its chargesheet has said that Hardeep's murder was not an act of self-defence but was a cold-blooded murder committed by Namdhari and his associates.
