Inspector arrested for 1992 alleged fake encounter

TOI reports: The state Crime Investigation Department have arrested the police officer involved in the alleged fake encounter of gangster Baban Koiyande in 1992.

This was following an order by the Additional District Session Judge RB Todkar of Kalyan court on January 10, 2003.

Judge Todkar rejected the anticipatory bail application of retired assistant commissioner police of Farooqui Mohamad Omar, retired ACP Vilash Jadhav, as well as police sub inspector Emmanuel Amolik.
