President Pranab to open Mughal Gardens Udyanotsav today

President Pranab Mukherjee will open the annual "Udyanotsav" of the Mughal Gardens of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

The gardens will be open to the public from 12.30 pm on Friday till 4 pm.

Thereafter, the gardens will remain open for general public from February 16 to March 17, 2013 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 10 am to 4 pm.

The entry and exit into the gardens for the general public will be from Gate No 35 of the President's Estate, which is located at the extreme end of the Church Road, 300 meters West of Cathedral Church and close to where North Avenue meets Rashtrapati Bhavan.

A floral wall of Dahlias more than eight feet in height can be seen encircling the Circular Garden. Different types of floral carpets, the designs of which are revised almost weekly can be seen during the entire period when Mughal Gardens is open for the public. Further, China Oranges at Mughal Gardens can be seen in great proliferation for the first time in many years.
