Summons to Karuna, Vijayakant on defamation plea

A local court today ordered the issuance of summons to DMK chief M Karunanidhi, DMDK founder Vijayakant and senior Congress leader E V K S Elangovan to appear before it on different days in April in connection with a defamation complaints filed by the Tamil Nadu government.

The Principal Sessions Judge directed the DMK chief to appear before him on April 29, Vijayakanth on April 26 and Elangovan on April 25, in connection with the cases against them.
